Born on 29th September 1959, Professor Marietu Tenuche obtained her West African School Certificate from Government Girls Secondary School Yola in 1976 and a University of Cambridge G.C.E. Advanced Level Certificate from the School of Basic Studies, Kwara State College of Technology now Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin in1978.
She obtained a B.Sc Political Science degree(2nd Class Upper), from the Ahmadu Bello University in 1981, an M.Sc. (Pol. Science and later a PhD Political Science degree in 2001. Between 1982 and 1992 she was engaged as a lecturer at the Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin.
She joined the services of the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba (PAAU) at the inception of the university in 2000 as Lecturer 1 and rose to become a Professor of Political Science in 2011.
Her area of research interest is political economy and gender issues. She served as the acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences PAAU between 2001 and 2006.
She was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) PAAU first from 2004 -2006 and again from 2008 to 2011. She was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) PAAU in 2011 and successfully completed her tenure in 2013.
Until her appointment as VC, Professor Tenuche was the Dean, School of Post Graduate Studies and Chairman of the Committee of Deans and Directors.
Professor Tenuche was a delegate to the 2014 National Conference where she represented the North Central Geo-Political Zone.
Prof. O.J. Saliu hails from Aiyetoro Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State. He was born on the 25th of December, 1961. He attended Demonstration Primary School Odokoro-Gbede and Abdul Azeez Attah Memorial College Okene. He acquired B.Sc (HONS) in Agricultural Extension Services and M.Sc in Agricultural Extension Services from the University of Ibadan in 1986 and 1995 respectively. He also obtained Ph.D in Agricultural Extension from the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi in 2010. Prof. O.J. Saliu taught for some years in a Secondary School before he joined the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Kogi State University Anyigba in the year 2000.
In the University, he has taught and supervised students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Among courses taught are; Advanced Rural Sociology, Technology and Social Change, Agricultural Extension, Administration and Supervision; Planning Rural Development Programmes and Programme Planning and Evaluation.
Prof. O.J. Saliu has published widely in both local and international referred journals. He has also attended conferences/workshops within and outside the country. Among the international conferences and workshops attended are; the International Conference on Economic and Social Sustainability (ICESS) held at International Exchange Center Tokyo, Japan on September 30th, 2013. Special invitations on Workshop for Institutional Support to Farmers’ Organizations Through Pan African Farmers’ Organizations Sponsored by African Union (AU- SATGRAD) in Nov. 8-9, 2017 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Among his professional activities he has engaged upon are; The Managing Editor, International Journal of Agricultural Economics, Management and Development published by Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Kogi State University, Editorial Board Member, Nigerian Journal of Indigenous Knowledge and Development, published by the Nigerian Society of Indigenous Knowledge and Development, Editorial Board Member, Research and Value Addition, Key to Transformation of the Nigerian Livestock. Proceedings of the 16th Annual Conference of Animal Science Association of Nigeria held in Kogi State University on 12th-15th September, 2011. LOC Chairman of the 4th International Conference of Nigeria Society for IndiProf. O.J. Saliugenous Knowledge and Development (NSIKAD) held at University Auditorium, Kogi State University, Anyigba between the 5th-8th of August, 2008.
He is a member of Kogi State University Senate Committee on affiliation, Senate Committee on Curriculum Development, University Council Committee on Internally Generated Revenue and a member of Committee of Deans and Directors. He rose through the ranks of Academic Ladder to become a professor in the year 2017. He was the Head of Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension between 2012 and 2014, Director, Centre for Pre-Degree and Diploma Studies between 2014 and 2019. He was the Director of Academic Planning and Development, Kogi State University between 2019 and 2020. Currently, he is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Admin.), Kogi State University. He is happily married with children. He is a devout Muslim.
Mrs Rachel Iyabo Oshanisi was born on 5th June, 1965. She earned her West African Schools Certificate in 1980 from Baptist Grammar School, Okuta, Kwara state, Nigeria. Mrs Oshanisi obtained B.A.(Ed) English with Second Class Upper Division from the University of Ilorin in 1988 and Masters in Public Administration (MPA), in 2004.
She joined the services of Prince Abubakar Audu University as Senior Assistant Registrar in 2003 after a fourteen (14) year stint as a teacher with the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission from 1989-2003. As a University Administrator in PAAU, Mrs Oshanisi served as Executive Assistant to two substantive Vice Chancellors successfully.
In 2006 she became Academic Officer and remained there till 2014 serving as Admissions Officer, handling Senate matters and academic records. In 2010, she attained the rank of Deputy Registrar. She left the Academic Office for the School of Postgraduate Studies as Secretary to the School from 2014 to 2019.
Until she was appointed Ag Registrar, Mrs Oshanisi was Deputy Registrar/College Secretary, College of Health Sciences.Mrs Oshanisi served meritoriously in all the varying capacities as well as in many sensitive committees in the university.
She belongs to the following professional bodies: 1. Member, Association of Nigerian University Administrators (ANUPA) 2. Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administrators (ICAD) 3. Member, Nigerian Institute of Management 4. Member, Association of University Administrators, UK (AUA, UK)
